and I"ll have to say I love you in a song

Before you were conceived I wanted you
Before you were born I loved you
Before you were here an hour I would die for you
This is the miracle of life.

  1. Part of my San Francisco trip included being part of a birth ritual with Amelia and her mother Melinda. Melinda has danced for thirty years with the Tamalpa Institute and has rolled in the mud and covered her face with leaves and buried her naked body among coves and caves and really anything you can imagine. So we three walked through the waters, Amelia tucked between us, and we sang her songs and she gave the ocean everything she needed to release. It was almost unspeakably powerful for me, so much so that I've been holding it for awhile before posting. I asked the ocean to hold me as I want to swim out out out to sea and stay there, to float to sink to die there, and they drank me in and we saw the healing ocean waters like the mothers womb. Amelia & Melinda are going to accompany me on my ritual to start off my "power period" September 17th (which in new moon astrology is about the month surrounding your birthday and you get to make 40 wishes). We're going to go to Brainard Lake and do some more walking and singing and giving it up to the great goddess...

  2. oh. my. Goddess. I love this little poem. Check it:

PS. So funny that youve never been to Blueberry Pie. It's my main gig! It started as a chronicle of Tessa's firt year, now she's 14 mos and I'm still hooked. I haven't been to Saint Teresa in a dog's age...slacking on the creativity thang. Ugh! wait...I take that back. All my creativity has been channeled into not pulling my hair out over the last six months...

  3. oh, and your ocean ritual sounds amazing!! is that a photo from the actual experience??? sooooo cool.

  4. Yes, that photo is from the actual experience but I added the funky colors to it!
