Well, here we all are, approaching our 40th birthdays. It's so hard to imagine. So much has happened since my 30th birthday, when I invited about 30 people for dinner (my parents were there, too yay!), and proceeded to cook them all dinner. My boyfriend at the time was like - what the hell, why would you do that? People should be cooking YOU dinner. Ha, good point. I've learned to "receive" a lot since then. At any rate, this monumental event is approaching in October, and I have recently discovered that "mid-life crisis" is a real term, a real phenomenon. I'm sort of itchy in my life right now, and there's really no good reason. Everything is going along swimmingly! But there's a bit of a mild discontent. I have a feeling in my 40s I'll be taking it up a notch. Here's some shots from our celebration of Becca at Mateo:
When I pulled out some paper and pens, Becca said, "oh this looks like a Helen project!"
We all wrote down things we love about her.
With some... fun things on the backside of cards.
Titty your cards!
